How to Use
Initial Setup: When first using, or if not used for 7+ days, prime by spraying 4 times into the air. For 7-day inactivity, prime once​​.
Pre-Use Steps: Shake the inhaler for 5 seconds before each use. Remove the cap and check the mouthpiece for foreign objects.
Inhalation Process: Exhale fully, place the mouthpiece in your mouth, and inhale deeply and slowly while pressing the canister. Hold your breath for about 10 seconds, then exhale slowly​​.
Post-Use: Rinse your mouth without swallowing to prevent infections. Replace the cap and clean the mouthpiece weekly​​​​.
Regular Usage: Use daily in regularly spaced doses, as prescribed by your doctor​​.

Side Effects
Common: Stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat, low fever, cough, hoarseness, mouth sores, headache, nausea, and vomiting​​.
Serious: Weakness, breathing difficulties, blurred vision, worsening asthma symptoms, fever, stomach pain, skin rash, liver problems​​.
Long-term Use Risks: Glaucoma, cataracts, skin thinning, body fat changes, menstrual problems, impotence​​.
In Children: Can affect growth. Monitor growth rates​​.

Dosage Adjustment
Required during stress, illness, post-surgery, or after an asthma attack​​.

Interactions
Medications: Antibiotics, antifungals, antivirals for HIV/AIDS, and other steroids.

Risk of Oral Thrush
Using Flovent HFA increases the risk of developing oral thrush, a yeast infection in the mouth.
To lower this risk, rinse your mouth with water (without swallowing) after each use of the inhaler and maintain good oral hygiene.
